Anatomy Of A Cover-Up

In this case, the motivation for the coverup is about as mysterious as finding a severed horsehead in your bed:

This is Bill Ayers, one-time domestic communist terrorist with the Vietnam-era Weather Underground, a man who tried to bomb the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol, and other homeland targets, and instigated numerous robberies and political murders.  Today he is a communist academic (natch) who still advocates the violent overthrow of the United States government and, judging by this video, regrets his decision to relinquish the "revolutionary struggle" and join the "establishment."

He is also one of Barack Hussein Obama's political mentors, molders, and shapers, and was Obama's boss for a number of years at the Woods Foundation and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge at the University of Illinois-Chicago in the late '90s - a mutually beneficial association that continued when BO subsequently entered the Illinois state legislature and shoveled a steady stream of earmarks in Ayers' direction.

And - whaddaya know? - as soon as National Review's Stan Kurtz started poking around the [AHEM] Richard J. Daley Library at UIC, an [AHEM] iron curtain of secrecy slammed down around any and all documents fleshing out the juicy details of the Ayers-Hussein partnership.

This, of course, is purely a coincidence.  Really.  Honest.  No foolin'.  How do I know this?  Because Richard J. Daley, JR. says so:

The mayor expressed his frustrations with outside agitators like Kurtz.

“People keep trying to align himself with Barack Obama,” Daley said. “It’s really unfortunate. They’re friends. So what? People do make mistakes in the past. You move on. This is a new century, a new time. He reflects back and he’s been making a strong contribution to our community.”

See?  What's the big deal?  Everybody makes mistakes like commiting robberies and murders and bombings in the name of America's enemies.  Everybody "moves on," in the sense of getting old and fat and physically unable to rob and kill and bomb anymore, even if the "revolutionary" spirit remains stronger than the aged, enfeebled flesh.  We're all commies now - or will be in two short months - so if two of them happen to be friends, what's the harm?  We need communist terrorists making "strong contributions to our communities," which I interpret to mean teaching young Americans to be the communist terrorists of the future.

So what if some voters might want to know more about just how closely aligned Ayers and Obama really are?  So what if some voters may not want to put a (possible) pinko acolyte in the most powerful office in the world?  So what if some voters might consider violent sedition and treason to be a tad more important of a "youthful mistake" than "I did not inhale"?  They're all bitter, clingy, gun-totin', Bible-thumpin', fascist savages anyway.  And President Hussein's Ayers-inspired "re-education" programs will cure them of all that backwards primitivism anyway.

Hell, maybe Ayers will be Lucifer's pick for Secretary of Education.  How'd THAT be for an ultimate quid pro quo?

It's probably in those docs the Daley Library won't let Kurtz research.

Pity none of them will come out in our lifetimes - or upon the end of President Hussein's tenure, whichever comes first.
