DeMint Shows The Way
Not half-way, not the Third Way, but THE way, if the GOP ever wants to regain the majority in their lifetimes:
"Drilling ban supporters don't deserve re-election." You can't put it any more succinctly than that.
And if Crazy Nancy and Dirty Harry want to overplay their already-losing hand into a government shutdown showdown by trying to sneak renewal of the drilling ban by attaching it to the usual omnibus approprations bill (or continuing resolution, since this Congress hasn't passed ANY FY 2009 appropiations bill yet) - thus showing their determination to keep energy prices ruinously high and ever-higher - within two months of Election Day, well, I've got three words for 'em: BRING...IT...ON!
Thank GOD there's at least one 'Pubbie in Washington with the balls to say the same thing.
