What A Difference A Presidency Makes

I am constrained to ask yet again: Would any such story have had THIS headline if George W. Bush were still President?:

"Employment Reports Show Mixed Picture"

The [Automated Data Processing] report, which is based on payroll data from 500,000 U.S. businesses, said the private sector eliminated 742,000 jobs on a seasonally adjusted basis in March. That up 36,000 from last month's revised figure of 706,000....

That happens to be the worst job report ADP has ever produced.  "Horrific" even sounds like a garish euphemism.  Which probably helps explain why CNN used the phrase "the private sector eliminated...." rather than placing the blame where it belongs, on the Democrat Financial Logic Bomb and Obamanomics.  It bolsters Red Barry's anti-capitalist propaganda campaign by seeding the idea that the public sector will ride to the rescue and restore all these jobs and basically command prosperity - no matter how long it takes.

You may be wondering what the good news is to balance out this vocational carnage.  If so, you probably shouldn't have:

Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc. reported that the number of planned job cuts announced in March fell for the second straight month.

Job cut announcements by U.S. employers totaled 150,411 in March, a decline of 19.3% from February's 186,350 cuts, which was down from a seven-year high in January, according to Challenger.

The other report says we're hemorrhaging jobs slightly slower than we though we were!  Hooray!

And this is a "mixed picture".  If John McCain were in the White House right now, it would be "crimes against humanity".

I guess all those jobs that Hogzilla purported to "save or create" didn't get the White House memo that they should still exist or be springing into existence.  And that that "groundwork for economic growth" it promised to "lay" will have to wait until the REAL groundwork for economic growth that the rest of Obamanomics is targeting for comprehensive rollback is completely destroyed.

Or until Red Barry and the Dems are rolled back, whichever comes first.
