Stunning Hypocrisy

Did any of you see this stunning display of blatant hypocrisy yesterday?:

Yesterday we played a sound bite of Obama, a White House ceremony praising the troops as they left the cities in Iraq and it really offended my sensibilities because Barack Obama and the Democrat Party were one huge obstacle our military had to overcome in achieving victory in Iraq.  These people had to secure defeat.  Joe Biden was damning the surge, these people were impugning David Petraeus, calling him a liar before he had even testified.  And there's Obama up there taking credit for -- see, I told you, the Democrats are not going to saddle themselves with defeat here.  They're going to claim credit for the win.  A stand-up guy would have Bush there yesterday if there was going to be some celebration ceremony honoring the accomplishment of the troops in the surge, it was his policy.  Of course, these people are not stand-up people. Bush wasn't there and wasn't invited.  But they're not gonna saddle themselves with defeat.  I told you this.  Anyway, when we get back in the monologue segment of the next hour, there's some audio sound bites on this that you've got to hear, we put together in chronological order, which will make you as enraged as am I.

Rush pretty much covers everything here, but it's just amazing to me that this "man" can stand up and lie through his teeth, pretending that he supports our troops and acting as if it was HE who secured this victory in Iraq, when it was HE and his party who were trying all along to secure our defeat. It's just amazing, and it's even more amazing how his followers fall right into line. As Rush said, an honest man would have had George W. Bush there, congratulating HIM on the success in Iraq. That would require integrity, though, something that Barack Obama just does not have.

I still can't believe we as Americans elected this boorish jerk.

JASmius adds: Doesn't stun me at all, Jen.  It was the perfect storm.  Without the Democrat Financial Logic Bomb, John McCain is president today (with much of the same domestic policy agenda, but that's well-plowed, left-behind ground) and demonstrably worthy of conducting this victory-credit-taking Rose Garden shindig.  Doubt if he would have had President Bush present, though, since the "Surge" was originally Darth Queeg's idea.

We've already seen how Red Barry's approval numbers have collapsed among independents, a reflection of their overall downward trend.  He'll continue to brazenly lie because that's what Marxists do and his media will never call him on it.  But I think most Americans have already tuned out his bullshit and are awaiting their opportunity to take it out on his party next year.

The Obama Occupation is the Carter administration at 78-speed (if anybody out there even recognizes vinyl record player references).  It won't end well for Barackzebub in any scenario; the question is how much collateral damage the rest of the country will suffer in the inevitable train wreck.
