EBC Missionaries Of The Week: Ken & Marilyn Gregerson

The Gregersons serve southeast Asia from their home base in New Mexico via Wycliffe Bible Translators.  Every week, Marilyn assists others in cultural anthropology projects, and Ken consults on linguistic and translation issues from half a world away.  They have consulted with Bible translators in Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia for more than forty years.

In late 2008, Marilyn finished editing Method & Theory Of Teaching Reading & Writing To Previously Illiterate Language Communities, soon to be published in the United Kingdom.  Via the internet, Ken assisted writing a grammar text of one Chinese language, and he researched Kacoq, a newly studied Cambodian language.  He also helped a PhD student on a sensitive language in Myanmar, supervising language surveys and translations.
