Night Shift @ ACORN (9/11/09)

You know the by-now well-established left-wing pattern of piss-in-our-faces brazenness borne of their appallingly arrogant belief that the election of Barack Obama meant that American politics was over and we all happily live in False Messiah's millenniel utopianist kingdom? The same impulse that is bringing The One and his domestic agenda crashing down like the walls of Jericho and made hard-left wackos like Van Jones household names?

Welcome to ACORN's entry:

Officials with the controversial community organizing group ACORN were secretly videotaped offering to assist two individuals posing as a pimp and a prostitute, encouraging them to lie to the Internal Revenue Service and providing guidance on how to claim underage girls from South America as dependents.

The videotape was made public Thursday on BigGovernment.com, a political blog launched by Andrew Breitbart as a companion site to his BigHollywood.breitbart.com blog.

In the videotape, made on July 24, James O’Keefe, a 25-year-old independent filmmaker, posed as a pimp with a 20-year-old woman named “Kenya” who posed as a prostitute while visiting ACORN’s office in Baltimore. The couple told ACORN staffers they wanted to secure housing where the woman could continue to maintain a prostitution business.

Big surprise - ACORN denies everything and calls O'Keefe and Giles and Breitbart and Fox News all "liars" with the same Alinskian twang as You Know Who:

A spokesman for ACORN, Scott Levenson, when asked to comment on the videotape, said: “The portrayal is false and defamatory and an attempt at gotcha journalism. This film crew tried to pull this sham at other offices and failed. ACORN wants to see the full video before commenting further.”

The same Alinskian twang and the same You-Know-Whoian obtuseness. The sting videos at ACORN, already posted at BigGovernment, were what gave rise to the story.

I'll kinda-sorta agree with Levenson on one thing - there's definitely a sham involved:

Oh, my. Coaching "clients" on underage foreign-harvested sex-slave prostitution rings and tax evasion. Sheesh, you'd think this was a Planned Parenthood outlet or something.

The video evidence being of the "red-handed" variety, ACORN quickly shifted from the "YOU LIE!" strategy to the "It's just these two Baltimore office employees and we're throwing 'em under the bus" gambit. Simple, right?

Well, it might have been, if O'Keefe hadn't had the enterprising presence of mind to check out ACORN's D.C. office as well:

My, oh my. Pimps are "marketeers"? "Consultants?" "Landlords?" ACORN will set up housing for them to ply their underage teen "employees" "trade"? O'Keefe shouldn't "hang out at the house” if he doesn't "want to draw attention.” Holy merciful crap.

It has occurred to me to wonder why Mr. O'Keefe and Ms. Giles chose this particular sting gimmick. I haven't seen that explained anywhere as yet. But they must have had good reason to adapt it, given the devastating results. How, oh how does the organization Barack Obama put on the map get out of THIS one?

STATEMENT OF STATE’S ATTORNEYS OFFICE FOR BALTIMORE CITY RELATIVE TO THE ALLEGED BALTIMORE ACORN INCIDENT

Baltimore, MD – September 11, 2009 – We have received inquiries from citizens and the media asking whether the Baltimore City State’s Attorneys Office would initiate a criminal investigation for acts allegedly committed at ACORN offices located in Baltimore. The only information received in reference to this alleged criminal behavior was a YouTube video. Upon review by this office, the video appears to be incomplete. In addition, the audio portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402, which requires two party consent.

If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to five years.

Translation: Sex slavery if aided, abetted, and protected by ACORN, good; exposure of sex slavery if aided, abetted, and protected by ACORN, bad. Because, you know, some "independent filmmaker" and his bimbo girlfriend are white trash rabblerousers, while ACORN is the Obamunist Knights Templar.

No gold noodle star for guessing that the Baltimore State's Attorney bears, shall we say, a very similar view of the world to the ACORN perps who got busted:

Now that's not to say that Patricia Jessamy approves of sex slavery just because she wants to go after the two people who exposed ACORN's complicity in accessorizing itself to multiple federal, state, and local crimes instead of ACORN itself. But she has held herself out as a "children's advocate" as president of the Baltimore Child Abuse Center and a member of the Maryland Governor’s Council on Child Abuse and Neglect from 1995 to 1998. Turning a blind eye to destroyng the lives of Salvadoran girls seems awfully....um....inconsistent with that pedigree. Certainly it brings her "pro-child" leanings into serious question, at least where her partisan leadings must, of course, supercede them. Ditto her very....er....selective application of Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402.

Remember that quaint old notion that justice is supposed to be blindfolded? It's also not to supposed to have its big, fat thumb on one side of the scales and its middle finger pointed upward.

There's no doubt which side the Obamedia has come down on....:

....and yet despite all of ACORN's clout, so sheerly vile are these revelations that Red Barry's Sturmabteilung are already taking body blows that all their democracy-undermining voter fraud racketeering put together never managed to precipitate:

“We do not come to this decision lightly,” Census director Robert Groves wrote in a letter to ACORN, which was obtained by the Associated Press.

In splitting with ACORN, Groves sought to tamp down GOP concerns and negative publicity that the partnership will taint the 2010 head count.

“It is clear that ACORN’s affiliation with the 2010 census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 census efforts,” Groves wrote.

I don't wonder that Groves didn't come to this decision lightly, in the sense that the ACORNization of the 2010 census was a big part of both Red Barry's 2012 re-election strategy and the corrupt gerrymandering of a permanent Donk-ruled one-party Omerikan state. What made the decision a lot lighter than he wants people to believe, though, is that the pimp-protector story has overnight made ACORN so toxic that whatever advantages they offered for producing the Census results The One wanted were destroyed in the space of the handful of minutes on those sting videos.

Rest assured, gentlebeings, we haven't heard the last of this story; it has only just begun.
