Let's Nationalize Illinois!

Another reason, perhaps, that Chicago's favorite adopted son couldn't reel in the 2016 Summer Olympics?:

The State of Illinois’ pile of unpaid bills has grown to a record-breaking $3 billion. Comptroller Dan Hynes said Tuesday it’s never before been this bad at this point in any previous fiscal year. CBS 2 Political Editor Mike Flannery reports that some social service agencies that rely heavily on state reimbursement warn they will soon be forced out of business.

Hynes said that things are likely to get worse before the state’s bleak revenue picture begins to improve. …

Dr. Norman James said he does not have enough cash to pay his 250 employees this Friday. He said he may have to close the doors, leaving more than 450 clients without the support they need to stay in their own homes and out of expensive nursing homes.

Dr. James said his bank had tripled the size of his line of credit, but that money is now all gone. Dr. James said Illinois owes his agency $900,000, about $700,000 of it past due by up to five months.

Boy, those "green shoots" the White House and Obamedia are always gibbering about are the size of redwoods, aren't they?

I'd like to be sympathetic to the plight of the [snicker] "Land of Lincoln".  Really, I would.  And I genuinely am for its creditors, like Dr. James, who is simply another victim of the left nutter economic insanity whose fuse was lit a decade ago by the Donk-created Community Reinvestment Program, epidemicized by Donks at Fannie and Freddie, zealously protected by congressional Donks like Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, until it detonated seven weeks before the 2008 presidential election.  Thus torpedoing the U.S. economy and guaranteeing the election of an outright Marxist, with accompanying congressional supermajority, who has gone on a socialistic rampage of nationalization and debt-tripling and tax-raising that has scared the bejesus out of investors and private sector entreprenuers who see the multiple "little red dots" on their foreheads and have, of economic survival, dived for cover and hunkered down, cash-mattresses at the ready, ever since.

It goes without saying that what is now, indellibly and forever, "the Land of Obama" has been run the same way for decades, and is now reaping the "benefits" of having its corrupt hard-left governing paradigm go national.  And understand that this excruciatingly public airing of Springfield's economic/political moribundity is before BarryCare's enactment, with its explosion of Medicaid unfunded mandates for the states to cover, lands like a fiscal anti-matter warhead.

So what's the answer?  Of course - the federal government can just TAKE OVER Illinois and assume all its debts directly!  Favorite son to the rescue!  He didn't get 'em the Games, and failed to deliver the accompanying billions for the Daley machine to wallow naked in, but he'll sure bail'em out!  Because, of course, as we all know, Illinois is "too big to fail".  Like California, and New York, and....

Say, what do we call our country after all the states have been federalized?  The United Soviet Socialist STATE of Obamerika?  Might as well eliminate the typos from all that waste paper Bernake keeps printing.
