This Man Is Teaching College Students
I'm talking about Robert Reich. Now, put a virtual condom on your computer and head over to the Huffington Post to read this, if you dare. This is our former Secretary of Labor, trying to make the case that government needs to spend MORE in order to bring jobs back. I kid you not.
Which brings us to the obvious question: Who's going to buy the stuff we make or the services we provide, and therefore bring jobs back? There's only one buyer left: The government.
Let me say this as clearly and forcefully as I can: The federal government should be spending even more than it already is on roads and bridges and schools and parks and everything else we need. It should make up for cutbacks at the state level, and then some. This is the only way to put Americans back to work. We did it during the Depression. It was called the WPA.
Yep, the exact opposite of what we need to do, is what Robert Reich says we need to do. Now all of a sudden, since Bush is not in office and Obama is, the national debt is not a problem. Isn't it funny how quickly that turned around? I knew this guy was a nutjob, but this article is really over the top. What do you expect from the Huffington Post?
Now to de-louse my computer...
