Embrace The Disgrace!

Don't go away, it's time to play another teeth-grinding edition of....Compare & Contrast!  Now let's meet today's participants!

First, one of the House GOP's brightest "young gun" rising stars, and doubtless a Committee Chairman in the 112th Congress, Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI):

I think it safe to say that Mr. Ryan speaks for the bulk of the to-be-pawnized American people.

However, in the interests of "fairness," how else could radical, malevolent, disastrous, roaringly unpopular legislation get rammed down our throats but via a process that WASN'T a disgrace?  Besides, it's not as if most Donks aren't repeating John Larson's mantra like Muslim evening prayers at Mecca:

Honestly, I don't think they care what the optics of this travesty are by this time other than how it might affect the final vote.  Eeyore persists in his prediction that Crazy Nancy will, in the end, drop the "Slaughter Solution" because of....the optics.  But remember the inspiration for "DeemonPass" in the first place: they didn't have the votes to pass Senate ObamaCare and believed that bypassing that vote by attaching it to the reconciliation fix (which would presumably have the votes) via the infamous "self-executing rule" was the only way to win this battle royal.  Which means that the only way Slaughter is going bye-bye is if the public reaction gets so sulfuric that the Poliburo faces losing more votes from trying it than actually voting on the Senate bill in the first place.

The $64 trillion question is, as it has always been, how many of the thirty-nine Dem "nays" from the House version that passed last November were genuine and how many were stage-managed?  Does anybody know?  Otherwise we're right back to the situation that precipitated Slaughter in the first place: not enough votes to pass the Senate bill.  Will Granny REALLY go right up to the brink on this with the outcome genuinely uncertain?
